“The March Around Jericho” – Bringing the Mountains of Animal Exploitation Down

I’ve been fasting and praying once a week, and last week, I had this vision of God’s people holding hands around the world and praying for the “walls of Jericho (for our purposes, animal exploitation) to come tumbling down.” So for 7 days beginning today, here is the proposition:

Everyone who feels called to, wants to participate, let’s ‘virtually’ join hands around the world, envisioning the animal kingdom with all of the forms of exploitation by mankind in the middle of the circle (world).  We’ll imagine in as much detail as possibe all the factory farms, fur farms, circuses, puppy mills, Foie Gras farms, all forms of hunting and steel jawed trapping/snaring – any form of exploitation where animals are turned into commodities and utilities we can think of, forced to suffer, treated without mercy and love – at the center of the circle as the world.

Every day, for 7 days we’ll call on the Holy Spirit to bring to mind the visions and prayer for them He wants us to have to tear down the walls that bind them (praying for the industries, people, consumer – we are ALL affected and ALL need the love of God to open eyes and hearts). On the 7^th day, let’s dedicate a meal or the day to fasting and prayer, bringing our “petitions and requests to the Lord” (Philippians 4:4-9 ; Ephesians 6:18) like the sound of the horn blasting on the 7th day, when the walls of Jericho fell.

“When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed…” Joshua 6:20

Let’s make a great sound to the Lord, shouting out our prayers and requests for the animal kingdom.  Let’s join together petitioning the Lord to move this mountain!
